I believe that interior designer, stylist and photographer Elisabeth Heier from Norway doesn’t need a long introduction to any Scandinavian interior design lover. I’m so happy to share her beautiful home today with you! In addition to the gorgeous photos, I’ve asked some home decor related questions from her, which she kindly answered (scroll down to read it).
What is your favourite spot or favourite piece of furniture in your home at the moment?
Right now, my favourite spot is the living room – and hopefully soon the terrace as well. We have huge windows that brings the garden into the livingroom and it´s amazing now when everything is green and in bloom. I am planning a new terrace right outside our living room and hopefully we will be able to get it built during the summer. I´m sure thats going to be my new favourite spot : )
What are your favourite places for shopping things for your home? Any favourite webshops?
I like to shop in many different kind of shops, Ølen Møbel is an amazing shop here in Norway, and also Brun’o Interior and Bolina are amongst my favorites. In Sweden I love shopping at Artilleriet. Bolina.no and Artilleriet.se have also webshops.
What is currently on your wish list for your home?
New furniture for our terrace! A combination of furniture from Fermob, Hay and self-built benches.
What advice would you give to someone who starts decorating and wants to achieve the style similar to that in your home?
I would say: Keep it simple! Bring pieces from nature inside, stick to few colors that will fit any time of the year and that offers endless variations. Choose good and timeless materials.
Huge thank you to Elisabeth for taking time to answer the questions! I’m sure her new terrace will look as gorgeous as the rest of her home and I can’t wait to see it on her blog! For more inspiration visit Elisabeth’s lovely blog and her Instagram feed.
P.S! I really enjoyed reading Elisabeth’s answers to the questions when I got her e-mail, so you can expect more similar home features with short question-answer sections here in the future. I hope you’ll like them as much as I do! :)
