Scandinavian apartment, modern mixed with vintage. Styling and photography Anu Tammiste

Today I’m happy to share with you one of my latest interior projects. It’s a small 42 sqm apartment in Tallinn, with high ceilings and large windows in a beautifully renovated house by Larsen Kinnisvara. Although small it feels airy and spacious thanks to high ceilings and large windows.

As the home owner already had some beautiful Scandinavian vintage pieces we decided to mix these with some new furniture to achieve modern look with a touch of midcentury feeling. Small spaces need some really good storage to be functional without feeling cluttered and therefore two large custom built-in wardrobes were planned for bedroom and entryway. Both of these cabinets and also bathroom furniture was custom made by Näpi Puit. The apartment has beautiful concrete ceilings which give the space character. To bring concrete also to the bathroom we chose concrete worktop with a sink custom made by Valukivi. Pale oak flooring and warm tones of vintage furniture pieces give the space some warmth. I found some really nice mustard yellow accessories from H&M Home which together with other monochrome details create welcoming feel to this little apartment.

This apartment will soon be available for rent, so if you need a small and nice place to stay in Tallinn, let me know :)

Styling and photography by me.

This is so beautiful Anu! So many pretty details. I was thinking how could I incorporate this camel/mustard colour into my home… It looks so good in combination with black and grey. Love how you managed to bring this combo on the wall too, by using the print above the sofa.
It was a work well done my friend. Love it!
Have a nice and relaxing evening, you really deserve it!

    Hugs,
    Natalia

Thank you so much dear Natalia for your lovely words! It means a lot. Mustard really looked good there, especially together with warm colored wood of vintage furniture. About the print – I wanted to see that color on the wall too, but as I couldn’t find matching print I had to make it myself :)

Extremely pure and nice. What is the bedroom grey wall colour number? I love this tone.

    Thanks and good job!

Ma vist võin vastata eesti keeles? :)
Kõigepealt aitäh, tore kuulda, et meeldib! Hall toon magamistoa seintel on Tikkurila värvikaardilt K499 (Graniitti). Aga juhin tähelepanu, et pildil võivad toonid teistsugused tunduda, nii fotode tegemisel korteris olnud valgustingimuste kui ka vaataja ekraani seadete tõttu. Loodan siiski, et oli abiks :)

Love the entire apartment but my fav is the use of the large splash tile for the bath vanity!-Laurel Bledsoe
