Christmas is just around the corner. Tree is decorated and presents are wrapped. There’s also a tiny-tiny Christmas feeling rising its head inside me – mostly thanks to my older boy who is already old enough to decorate Christmas tree, bake gingerbreads and wait for Christmas Eve and all the presents he is to get then :)
The most valuable gift you can give to your loved ones is your time. Keeping that in mind I will sign off for holidays and give all my attention to my family. They deserve it and I deserve it :)
I wish you all magical Christmas time and see you again in the beginning of 2016! Take time for your loved ones and make some beautiful memories – not for Instagram or Facebook, but just for yourself! xxx
Finally I have started to decorate for Christmas. I was waiting for the first snow to get that right spirit for Christmas preparations, but I can’t wait any longer… For me decorating our home for Christmas means bringing some green branches inside, adding some extra candles and of course Christmas tree, which will be brought home some days before Christmas. Baking gingerbread cookies, listening to Christmas carols and wrapping those carefully chosen presents for the dearest are definitely also in my Christmas list.
Love this subtle and natural Christmas mood from Broste Copenhagen.
In early October I planned to start decorating for Christmas earlier this year, but it’s already almost the first advent and I don’t have nothing planned yet. The only thing I know is that I want to take it easy and make only a few subtle decorations and definitely bring a little tree inside when getting closer to Christmas.
This year I feel like the Christmas is coming closer too fast – can’t believe it’ll be already third advent this Sunday! I don’t know if I could blame the quite warm weather and lack of snow or a bit too busy times I have right now, but I can’t say that I’ve got the right Christmas feeling… Fortunately I have two more weeks to change that thing :)
These lovely photos I found during my last session of searching Christmas feeling online (sometimes it helps!) are styled by Emma Wallmén and photographed by Anna Malmberg. Natural and simple, not too christmassy, but cozy enough to plant a little seed of Christmas feeling for me :)
So this is it – my first Christmas themed post this year!
We are still one weekend away from the First Advent, but I think it’s the last time to start thinking about how to display the advent candles this year so here are some examples. As you see it’s not always necessary to do something very christmassy to get the feeling, sometimes it’s enough to use only a beautiful candleholder(s) for four candles and add a branch or some cones and this is it!
It’s almost Christmas! Last days have been quite busy with all the Christmas preparations, but now I’ll slow down and try to think that I don’t have to realise all these plans and ideas I have in my mind. After all, it’s the fun and enjoyable time spent with family which is really important and what makes good memories. Not these perfectly wrapped gifts or spotless home! These are our first Christmas as a family of three and this makes it really special :)
For you, dear readers, I wish that Christmas brings you plenty of time to enjoy quality time with your family and to take some relaxing moments for yourself! Merry Christmas and see you on the last days of December – for looking back to the ending year!
For me snow is an essential component of Christmas mood, even so that every year when I see the first snow, it makes me waiting for Christmas, no matter if it would happen already in early November! Unfortunately this Christmas seem to come without snow… but I’m still hoping and dreaming of a white Christmas :) How about you? Is there snow where you live? Or you’ll get the right Christmas mood even without it?
Minu jaoks on lumi jõulutunde tekkimise jaoks väga oluline. Esimene lumesadu toob mulle alati jõulutunde – isegi siis, kui see juhtub juba novembri alguses. Muidugi see läheb sellisel juhul koos lume sulamisega jälle üle, aga ikkagi. Kahjuks tundub ilmateadet vaadates, et sellel aastal tulevad jõulud lumeta, kuid ma ikka veel loodan ning unistan valgetest jõuludest :) Kuidas teil on? Kas lumi on jõulutunde tekkimiseks oluline või pigem teisejärguline?

Lately I have seen many really cool washi tape Christmas trees on blogs and magazines (like here and here) and of course I wanted one for myself! Usually these are taped on the wall, but since our living room has sloped ceiling and there is really little wall space, I decided to scale my tree down so that it could fit a picture frame :)
I planned not to post Christmas stuff before the start of December, but as soon as I saw this beautiful Danish home in Femina I changed my mind. Afterall, we should think about Christmas decorations before actual Christmas time, so this is perfect time for starting to share Christmas inspiration! Besides, it’s a really beautiful home (my favourite is dining area with black Wegner Wishbone chairs), so those not in Christmas mood yet will hopefully find something for themselves also.
PS! Today is the day I promised to announce the winner of Novica gift card giveaway and the lucky winner chosen by random.org is Vunda V! Congratulations!
