My work in Diivan magazine

May 8, 2017

One of my latest interior projects (which I featured also here) got published in a local home decor and design magazine Diivan. I’m superhappy about it – my interior design, my styling for shooting and my photos!

Also, I put together a portfolio site featuring some of my work and services, you can find it here (at the moment it’s available only in Estonian).

Üks mu hiljutisi sisekujundusprojekte (mida kajastasin siin) avaldati ajakirja Diivan mai numbris.

So precious

June 28, 2015

our little baby boy

Those of you following me on Instagram have probably already heard the news and some regular readers may be guessing it from the absence of new blog posts lately. Yes, our little baby boy finally arrived on June 16, a week and one day past his due date and made me a proud mom of two gorgeous boys! :)

It may be a little bit more quiet here for some time while I enjoy those precious moments (and sleepless nights) with a newborn, but I won’t definitely neglect this blog! For a new week I have planned a post about our nursery, so come back in a few days if you’d like to see it!

Waiting… Final countdown

If you follow me on Instagram you may already know the news for some time, but for those of you who don’t here it is: we are expecting baby number 2 and he will be here in any time soon :) With only 10 days left to my due date the exciting final countdown has surely begun! Despite feeling little overwhelmed with everything I’d like to do before the baby arrives, we can’t wait to meet him!

As for the things on the photos above, the crocheted bunny I have made myself and the knitted organic cotton baby blanket is from my mother. I like the thought of surrounding our little guy with things that have a story behind them and what would be better than something hand made from his mommy and granny :)

So now you know the reason why it may become a little bit quiet here on the blog for some time soon. I really hope that I can find little time for blogging as well, but I think I have to be realist and prepare myself for some really busy and hectic weeks before we can settle into the rhythm of living with 2-year-old and newborn. That won’t be easy, I know, but sure it will bring so much joy into our lives! :)

These are some of favorites from my Instagram feed in July. It was a sunny and hot month with many lazy days spent in our country home… And it was my birthday month – the birthday giveaway is still open for some days so you still have a chance to win a set of two gorgeous Mathilda Clahr leather strap hangers and Le Sac en Papier paper bag from  Norsu – a lovely shop full of Scandi style goodies.

Win two Strap leather hangers and Le Sac en Papier paper bag!

When we were planning this giveaway it came out that Nat’s (one of the lovely ladies behind Norsu) little daughter will turn 3 on exactly the same day as I will turn 30! So this is a really special giveaway, celebrating two birthdays, nice coincidences and friendships found via blogging! Nat from Norsu took it all together very beautifully:

Never did we realise we’d have so much in common when we first met Anu. We had spent endless hours trawling through the blog, excited and giddy as each article was posted. We’d decided it was “the source” for everything Scandi. It was our go-to place for new and emerging designers, must-have products to bring to Australia, and most importantly, the place where we would go to escape everyday life to enter the world of beautiful and inspiring interiors. There was no way we could keep this gem to ourselves and we decided to share it with our loyal followers, and of course there was no better place than Instagram to do it. We posted one of our favourite photos from Decordots and that was the day we met our now lovely friend Anu. Since then we’ve exchanged emails, shared our favourite products, gushed over styled photography… and supported each other just like friends do. Not only does Anu share our obsession for Scandinavian design, she shares her birthday with my daughter Annabel. As Anu turns 30, my little lady turns 3. So today, we know there’s reason to celebrate. Not only to Anu and Annabel on their special days, but to everyone who makes new friends for life through a shared passion… just like us.

Finally on Instagram!

February 27, 2014

Decordotsblog Instagram feed

I don’t know why I waited so long, but finally I’m also on Instagram! Actually I have been there for a month now and some of you may have already encountered me there, but I wanted to give it a sort of ‘test period’ before making it more public as I thought that maybe I don’t like it and stop using it after some weeks. Now I can say that it’s really fun and inspiring and I regret it oh so badly that I didn’t join earlier… But better late than never, right? :)

You are more than welcome to visit my little corner there and also follow me if you like!

P.S. Stacy from lovely The Lacquerie blog kindly asked me to participate in her interview column, pop over here to read my answers!

Our little boy has arrived!

June 1, 2013

I’m really happy to declare that my long absence from the blog has had the best reason in the world: on 23th of May I became a Mom of the sweetest little guy in the world! Everything went well and I have been in a blissful baby-bubble ever since – no blogs, no Pinterest… I have had my eyes only for him :) I hope you’ll hang in there until I’m getting used to the new schedule and maybe post very randomly in coming weeks.

But let me introduce you, our little baby boy:

Big news

April 19, 2013

Dear readers,

Sorry for my absence for so long time, I think this is the longest gap between posts within the year I have been blogging. Todays post is little more personal than usually, because I have something going on I want to share with you :) A month ago I mentioned that I have one Big Project that deserves an extra post and today I’m happy to reveal that this Big Project is a little baby boy who is expected to arrive in the second half of May :) So only with a month to go I have been super-busy arranging things and completing things from my Things-to-do-before-the-baby list (and believe me, this list is really-really long… ) and it’s the reason why there haven’t been so many new posts lately. So now you know (even if some of you already knew through “personal communications”) :)

P.S. These two rolls of yarn are still waiting to be transformed into something beautiful… I’ll take some time for that. Soon :)
