Fell in love with this shade of dark green used on the walls in a workspace styled by Pella Hedeby and photographed by Kristofer Johnsson for Residence magazine. Feels so cozy and velvet curtains give the whole space a luxurious touch.

Some new photos of my workspace I took for the interview with me in Theory of Place where I talked about my decorating style and Scandinavian style in general.  You are welcome to read it here.

My Residence

Workspace, coffee, My Residence bookazine

It’s not usual for me to read a magazine from cover to cover, but I have almost done that with my new My Residence bookazine. It’s loaded with beautiful and inspiring photos of Swedish interiors and architecture presented by Residence Magazine throughout the year. Really nice companion for coffee breaks. The only bad thing is that as its an annual publication we need to wait another year before a new copy is released.

Also, thank you all who participated in Faces of Nepal giveaway from Posterlounge. The winner was chosen via random.org and the lucky winner is Mira. Congratulations!

We recently changed the location of our workspace corner and it’s not under the sloped ceiling any more. That means we also have a room for a proper table lamp on the desk. The only problem is that it’s so hard to choose – there are many really nice work lamps out there! Above are some nice examples of inspiring Scandinavian style workspaces each with a beautiful table lamp. And below you’ll find some of my favourites.

Do you have a favorite desk lamp? Any recommendations?

New week has begun and for most of us this means that we have to get some work done now! Working from a nice home office is definitely a good way to start a week, so here are three gorgeous workspaces that have caught my eye lately.

Enjoy your Monday!

Monochrome kids space

I know that most kids love colorful things and a monochrome kids room may be quite hard to achieve in real life, but I’m really in love with this office corner styled by Emma and Riikka in cooperation with Ferm Living. Combination of black and white and light wood – perfect! All little details and styling – perfect! Must save for future references.

Workspace inspiration

August 28, 2012

I have thought for some time to share the selection of my latest favorites among workspaces here and I think that now, being back to work after the summer vacation, it’s perfect time to do it! So here we go:

I just can’t get enough to looking these spaces and and trying to catch every little detail – and there are plenty of interesting details in these home offices if you take some time to investigate the pictures thoroughly!

Would you like to work from an home office or do you prefer larger corporate offices? I’ll give my vote for an home office for sure!
